THE RUBETTES featuring BILL HURD 21st Century Rock ‘N’ Roll

The album is a mix of originals and covers. The originals include the title track, the tasty slide guitar on ‘Dancin’ The Night Away’ and ‘Tarzan’s Birthday’ – not a very good tune to be honest. The covers include ‘Kiss You All Over’ (written by 70′s hitmakers Chinn and Chapman), a very enjoyable version of ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’. Oh and their most well known hit ‘Sugar Baby Love’, is on here as well and I am pleased to report the dog bothering high pitched vocals still sound as good.

One for the band’s fans and lovers of rock ‘n’ roll.

Jason Ritchie, (June 2010)

Here’s the line-up with organist Bill Hurd as the captain with a couple of their old hits stiched seamlessly with a fresh material resulting in a pretty whole album… (August 2010)
