…includes informative sleeve notes and two bonus tracks…firmly of its seventies era

Classic Rock Society, (January 2010)

…lovingly crafted tribute to the late musician who passed away in 2003…a relatively low keyed and introspective sounding album…Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore delivers a scorching, extended intro on the rocking title track…Faith also called in a Beatle…

I Survive is an intriguing ten song collection that successfully brings together elements of orchestral/theatrical rock with pop…

Ryan Sparks, Sea Of Tranquility (February 2010)

Blackmore’s blistering guitar work is very much at odds with the rest of the material…a fascinating session for Blackmore fans to add to their collection, if they missed this first time around.

More Black Than Purple (January 2010)

…fits snugly into the period’s penchant for introspective balladeering, it was also blessed with a lush pop sensibility…

Record Collector (February 2010)

Drafting in old friends such as Paul and Linda McCartney, Ritchie Blackmore and Russ Ballard- Faith and long time friend David Courtney wrote and produced an album that mixes easy going ballads (‘I Believe In Love’, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ or ‘Maybe’) with theatrical songs like ‘Foreign Lady’ and ‘Goodbye’- the latter having an almost old style Music Hall feel to it.

There are also tracks like piano ballad ‘In Your Life’ (featuring the McCartney’s), ‘Change’, the soft rock of ‘I Survived’ and ‘Star Song’ (later made famous by David Essex). The album was mixed by hit maker Mickie Most.

The album has now been re-mastered by original co-producer Courtney and adds bonus tracks ‘I Believe In Love’ (rough mix) and the single version of ‘I Survived’.

In 2003 Faith suffered a fatal heart attack, his death leaving a void in British show business. 3/5

This is competent stuff and if your thing is well crafted songs and you still have a soft spot for Adam Faith it’ll hit the spot for completists.
