1. Show A Little Mercy
Back in 1987 there was a buzz about. A powerful rock’n’roll anthem was finding its way onto the radio, a breath of real music in a sea of synthesized pop. The vibe was that The Stones were back on form, and had sneaked out their first decent single in the best part of a decade. The record was ”Comin’ On Strong”, a welter of crashing riffs and Jagger – like whooping vocals. No doubt about it ”Mick’n’Keefe” were back – but no… It was a solo project by sometime record plugger, manager, Rolling Stones tribute artist, jack of all trades STEVE ELSON, going under the name BROKEN ENGLISH.
This album never before released is their story, the Hit singles, the album that was recorded but languished in the vaults for nearly two decades until Angel Air rescued it. A lasting legacy, a taste of what might have been.
