MOTT – By Tonight – Live
Considering the age of the tracks the remastering certainly helps the sound quality. As always with Angel Air releases this is great for archivists. The sleeves notes by Dale Griffin are very entertaining and shed some light on the band. Recommended.

Highly recommended, especially if you didn’t get the original 2-CD set

..for the devoted collector this represents a welcome snapshot of a less celebrated part of the band’s legacy

…should satisfy the curious

Unfortunately, Mott never had the success they deserved in the charts, but they are captured at their very best here.
Tracks like ‘Storm’, ‘Collision Course’ and ‘Love Me Two Times’ are just excellent and the two medleys – one featuring one of their earlier hits ‘All The Way From Memphis’, shows what a bunch of fine musicians they really were.
With sleeve notes by drummer Dale Griffin and rare band photos, this is a must for any serious fan of 70′s music.
Martin Hutchinson, Bolton News (February 2009)
Oddly, 30 years on their ludicrous, amped-up prog-punk boogie sounds knockout

…while it’s fun, (Nigel) Benjamin’s voice held Mott back.

As always with Angel Air releases the remastering is spot on…the sound quality is excellent…a welcome snapshot of a less celebrated part of the band’s legacy.
